Construction-Specific Evaluation Criteria

Beyond standard quality/price scoring, construction tenders typically require:

• Health & Safety methodology — CDM 2015 compliance, RIDDOR record, site-specific risk assessments, named SHEQ Manager
• Programme/Gantt chart — detailed construction programme showing critical path, milestones, and float
• Supply chain management — named subcontractors, letters of intent, capacity evidence
• Quality management — ISO 9001 or equivalent, inspection & test plans, defect management procedures
• Environmental management — ISO 14001, BREEAM approach, waste management plans, carbon reduction commitments
• Social value — local labour, apprenticeships, community engagement, SME subcontracting targets
